just for nerdy fun......

my fictional character crushes.....

......in random order:

1. Fritz Robinson

When I was little (and by that I mean younger), my brothers and sisters and I used to sleep in my parent's room when my dad was gone overnight for his work. My mom would get us to sleep -and keep her sanity- by putting in old Disney movies. I swear, before the age of 7, I had never seen more than 10 minutes of The Parent Trap. I thought it was the most boring film in existence. Well, Swiss Family Robinson was one of these "boring" movies Mom used to try to lull us to sleep. But Swiss Family Robinson is WAY too exciting! I loved it! Pirates and adventure and romance! And I always had a crush on Fritz. He looks silly in this photo, but he had his shirt off a lot in that movie. It was a tropical island after all.
Nice hat, Fritz.

2. Jonny Quest

Okay, shut up. So, I had a crush on a cartoon character. Um,what can I say? It's totally normal, right? Everybody has crushes on cartoon charcters! Well.....I was 12! I'm sorry, but he was cool! He was like a 16-year-old James Bond! I don't remember much about that show, but it was cool. Those three were always getting into trouble. And they were smart kids; they could fly planes and fight bad guys and do all kinds of cool James Bond things. And I just always liked Jonny. And his dog Bandit! So cute! I knowI say this all the time about different names, but I really think that if I ever get my own dog I really will name it Bandit.
Now I just have to remember that...

3. Gilbert Blythe

(Seriously, in my search for images of my crushes, what is up with all the ridiculous hats?? First Fritz, now Gil. Come on!)
I am not even going to pretend that this crush is over and done. I love Gil! The way he loves Anne and never gives up on her is just beautiful. Anne was so insane not to have let herself see it.
I love the part when he saves her in the boat. She is being her very silly self, gets stranded under a bridge in the middle of a pond, and he comes by and rescues her. Awww!

You'd have to see it.
