Yesterday, I was driving the kids (meaning my sister Marie's two oldest kids: Stephen and Leah) to my house and as we rode along, a bus slightly alarmed me with its proximity to my car, as it was almost pulling out into the street in front of me.
Well, I had a mild case of road rage, and as I safely passed it, I said something like "Yeah, that's right! Don't even think about it, pal!" From the backseat, Stephen, who is 5, said, "Aunty, why did you say that?" And I told him that the bus was crazy, but everything was okay.
Stephen said, "My teacher says we can't talk about cars." Now, I have no idea what he or his teacher meant by this, but then Leah, who is 3, proceeded for the next few minutes, to rebelliously repeat the word "cars!" over and over. I just sat there and laughed silently. It was one of those moments that I just thank God that I am alive! So sweet!
Anyway, I have been watching those two all week because on Tuesday, my sister Marie had her baby! His name is Collin Matthew and he is the cutest little thing ever! So the kids are having fun now with their new brother. And I am getting sleep. Wonderful sleep!
