favorites

I love it when I see a blog of people's "favorites". Their new toys and discoveries that make their lives a bit more interesting or happy. It always makes me think, "What are MY favorites?" I love how you can ask yourself this question every few months, and somehow, there's always something new!! :)

my favorites:

1. I went to Kohls today to use my free $10 Kohls card (I am not kidding, I got $10 toward anything in the store, in the mail, absolutely free!) and bought myself a ring, similar to, but not
exactly like, this one:
Sterling Silver Abstract Ring
and it only cost me 52 cents of my own money. It was originally $30, and it was marked down to $10. Kohls is always having a sale!

2. Elvis Presley

I am SO not kidding, lately I have had a major crush on Elvis. Man, was he good looking! I watched a fantastic movie called "Change of Habit", starring Elvis and Mary Tyler Moore! Rebekah: this must go on our list of movies that demonstrate the Transit/24-7 lifestyle, along with "For Richer or Poorer" :) prayer, mission, justice....it's got it all! Plus Elvis!

I also bought myself an Elvis Greatest Hits cd for Christmas.

3. Glenn Beck

The beginning of his show: "Hold to the Truth, Question with Boldness, Speak without Fear." Need I say more? This guy is like Superman! He fights for Truth, Justice, and the American way! (And in America, the American way is a good thing....)
Oh, and he's hilarious.

4. Musicals

I'm back into musicals right now, thanks to TCM and their Fred Astaire movie marathon on Thanksgiving Day! I love the simplicity and happiness in musicals. Well, most musicals. If they aren't happy, I'd really rather not watch them.

My favorite: Shall We Dance?

5. my new t-shirt

Yes, that would be the DeLorean hitting the TARDIS!!!

These are my new favorites. Subject to change, or be added to.

Love it! I've never seen Change of Habit, shall I wait and we can watch it together next year when we are both in the British Isles? I love Shall We Dance, classic!

I know you do, Rob. It reminds me so much of you!

And Rebekah, the first time I saw Shall We Dance was borrowing it from YOU!
