I smell....I smell....Ducky.

What is it with smells and the power they have to transport you to places and times? Does anyone get this? I mean, it's not just me, right? See, every time I use "warm vanilla sugar" lotion, I think of New Zealand, because when I was there, I used that lotion. Good memories. And whenever I smell popcorn, I want to watch an action movie, like James Bond or something. (That one does not make a lot of sense to me, as I'm not particularly fond of James Bond films, and I never get popcorn at movies.....)

But I was thinking about smells at work yesterday, when I was filling the sink at Food Ave to wash the dishes. The smell of the soap detergent that goes into the sink makes me feel comforted and happy. It is completely beyond me why this would happen. As far as I know it doesn't remind me of anything specific, it just makes me feel, there's no other word for it, comforted. Is this as weird as it sounds? And then I just think, Wow! God is so cool! What is up with our noses and sense of smell! I mean, it's INCREDIBLE!!
