Never read a book that you know will end in a disaster!
Having read the flap, and the tons of foreshadowing throughout, I knew the entire time that this book I read would end in a flood. And- what do you know?- it did! For the last 30 or so pages my eyes were glued to the book in horror. It was awful! That night I honestly prayed that I wouldn't have any dreams about floods and family members dying and not being able to save people. (Instead, I had a dream that Alfred Hitchcock had hired goblins to work for him. No idea where THAT one came from. Slightly scary though.)
